Vallejo Umber Wash, 17ml

Acrylicos Vallejo, a company registered in New Jersey, U.S.A., in the year 1965, initially specialized in the manufacture of colors for animated films (cartoons). However, the most sustained expansion of Vallejo started in the nineties, with the introduction of new products directed at the Model painting and Hobby sector. The company became the first specialist in acrylic colors, with a long and varied experience in all aspects of this branch of manufacturing.

Acrylicos Vallejo's Model Colour line offers a wide range of waterbased, non-toxic, and non-flammable paints that come in 17ml eyedropper bottles, preventing spills. These paints are indicated for all surfaces and are especially formulated to adhere to Plastics and Polyesters. The colors apply smoothly, covering large surfaces easily and without leaving visible brushstrokes. Their texture makes them equally suitable for intricate details of miniature artwork.

Except for the metallic and transparent colors, all the shades dry to a matte and opaque finish. The transparent colors, on the other hand, render a brilliant finish, tinting the surface without obscuring woodgrains or other characteristics. On models, these transparent colors can be applied directly for headlights and signal lights; when diluted with Matte Medium, they are ideal for tinting airplane or car windows (smoked glass). Applying a coat of transparent color over the same matte color can also create an extra brilliant special effect.

Model Colour paints can be diluted with water, and all colors can be mixed with one another. The products do not contain solvents and are not flammable. The colors are free from lead pigments and other ingredients harmful to health. Errors can be corrected immediately with water or a small amount of alcohol. Once the paint has dried, it becomes waterproof and permanent.

Vallejo's wide range of products, including Model Color, Model Air, Game Color, Panzer Aces, Pigments, Textures, Varnishes, and Mediums, cater to a diverse customer base in the Model and Miniatures sector. The washes, in particular, are formulated to have a similar superficial tension to traditional solvent-based washes, allowing users to blend the edges of the colors on a model painted in various camouflage shades.
